Some things that amuse me...others not so much.

I can get amused and/or frustrated easily.

-Back in the day (as in last year?), Google had a homepage that I could customize.  Mine had a "French word-of the-day."  I really liked it! I was able add various times-around-the-world on that home page.  Now it's all gone - nada, nothing, kaput.  Too bad.

-Linked In...doesn't really do much for me. Recently, a friend sent me a link on Linked In saying this is how we could find out about somebody.  Uh, no, it didn't!  What it did do was to seek out all the people in the world who, IMHO (in my humble opinion) had a first and a last name.  I have decided I really hate Linked In. I need to get rid of either Linked In or the folks around the world with first and last names, who have joined my 'club' or whatever it is.  I will do exactly that, when I'm not busy.  ugh!

-Speaking of Linked In, I have a friend who had a recent announcement, courtesy of Linked In.  She was congratulated for a work anniversary: 7 years RETIRED.  I love algorithms.

-This year, we had a bank merger in our town.  My accounts require some checks.  It has taken the 'new' bank three times to get those checks re-printed and every time it has been wrong.  Not crazy wrong, but stupid wrong.  This customer is losing her patience. And don't get me going on why my password doesn't work as soon as I have hung up from Customer Service.  Really?  Four times in 90 minutes? And I've become good friends with one of the reps from customer service.  Maybe he's part of my Linked In group.

-I had an 'on-the-course' golf lesson today with my teacher.  I was completely surprised when he said we were walking over to the par 3 course, which we've been watching for months and months (as in almost 2 years) being torn down and re-built!  The city officials were proudly strutting their stuff yesterday, and the public will line up in two more days for play.  When Woody and I have this type of lesson, I usually have been up until 2am the night before, and then get up about 5:45am for a 7am start.  This is not easy for me. But each time I learn something new.  This makes my Linked In issues look like nothing.  Now, all is need to do is keep my club going through the ball, rather then letting it stop just after I hit the ball.  Golf is a fun? way to forget about everything else rattling around in my mind.

-When my head gets jammed with worries...I am taking time to calm down, ease up, and not blow up about whatever it may be.  Ah ha!  So this is what happens when I stop fretting, worrying, wondering about what will happen next.  This is one of my biggest challenges.  And I see that solutions are present, whether I choose to acknowledge them or not.  So the goal is to be greatful, grateful, and gracious, and let the good come on in!

This is a nice way to end the night.

Live richly, marilyn
