Heart Warmers and belly laughter
follow me on my real estate blog...The Second Story
I crack myself up. Nobody knows it. And nobody cares.
When I hear something on the radio or on TV and I start laughing or talking back to that absurd/funny person, it's a good thing that normal beings cannot hear me. They'd think I'd gone mad.
I've mentioned before that my mom gave me this spiral-bound booklet of various words of wisdom, maybe 40+ years ago. I keep it on my bathroom counter. And I turn the page every other day.
Here are some recent crack-up and thoughtful items:

Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest.
Mark Twain
Oct 6 (my wedding anniversary)
You won't even get started if you wait for all the conditions to be 'just right.' So true...and I experience it every day.

If at first you don't succeed ~ try to hide your astonishment. Yeah, like every day.

Most worries are reruns! Yes, they are, and when will I take it to my heart? Fahget about the worries.

Smart is when you believe only half of what you hear. Brilliant is when you know which half to believe. This is truer today than ever, with all of the fake, false news. I need to think for myself, but listen to others, without reacting.

The older you are the more like yourself you become. Gosh, I sure hope so. It's hard masquerading around as something I am definitely not.
And here's an item I read today, when going over an insurance policy:
Get a life
That was pre-printed on the cover letter. I quickly surmised that nobody ever read those letters or the policies. So I took another look. It said Get a life quote. Oh...a life insurance quote. I'd rather just stick to 'get a life.'
Bless you, mom. Balance is the better part of living.
Live richly, marilyn
