Making the shift...
...from gas to electric.
I was on a zoom meeting this past Wednesday morning, sponsored by the city of Alameda (specifically AMP - Alameda Municipal Power), watching a chef explaining what 'induction' cooking is. He obviously knew what he was doing.
And I'm not the one who will jump off the cliff.
(Although, I did jump out of an airplane with a parachute attached to my back, and I landed safely, by myself. I took a lesson up in Vacaville.
I guess there's a first time for most everything.
Here's a link to Home Depot that explains what induction appliances are.:
The good news is that IF I go all-electric for my stove, I have some old cast iron pans that will love being used.
Thank you so much for attending the Electrification Roadmap Brainstorm: Commercial and Residential Renters Workshop last night! It was great to start the conversation and hearing your thoughts. If you were unable to attend, please see the slide deck and jamboard. We invite you to add to the jamboard and/or send us any of your thoughts.
Fill out our Electrification Survey and ask your friends and family too! The survey is also available in Chinese and Spanish on the website: www.alamedaca.gov/
We will take our conversation last night and the upcoming conversations this and next week and incorporate it into a draft roadmap. Join us for the Draft Roadmap + Ordinance Review workshop on April 27th virtually or May 4th in person at the Main Library from 6:30 – 8:00PM.
Learn more about incentives see Tech Clean California and AMP.
Again, thank you so much for your attendance. If you have any questions or concerns, please respond directly to this email.
